Solutions for Missing Teeth
If you have a missing tooth or teeth, or need to have a tooth extracted, dental implants may be used as a replacement. Center for Progressive Dentistry offers implant treatment from start to finish, including removal of teeth, placement of dental implants, and restoring the implants with crowns, bridges, or dentures.

What Is a Dental Implant?
Think of an implant like a titanium artificial tooth root. Once the artificial root has healed with the jawbone, an attachment can be placed to secure a crown, bridge, or denture.
Single Tooth Replacement
If you have a missing tooth or need to have a tooth extracted, a single dental implant may be the solution. Implants offer a “one-tooth solution” for a “one-tooth problem.” Unlike bridges, dental implants do not involve the surrounding teeth. When the crown is placed on the implant, it is separate from the neighboring teeth, allowing for optimum cleaning and esthetics. Implants can be used to replace front teeth or back teeth.
Multiple Teeth Replacement
Implants can also be used to replace multiple teeth. A bridge can be made to join multiple implants.

Steps in Dental Implant Treatment
Step 1: We offer a free 30-minute initial consultation with Dr. Scardella. During the consultation, we will discuss the different dental implant options available, and you will get a general idea of how dental implants might work for you.
Step 2: A detailed exam and X-rays (CBCT) will be needed before customized treatment options and cost estimates can be provided. We will also take any necessary photographs and digital impressions.
Step 3: Placement of the dental implant(s). A temporary prosthesis may be provided, depending on the individual treatment plan. Often, tooth extractions and bone-grafting procedures are done simultaneously.
Step 4: Typically four months later, digital impressions are taken and sent to our top-quality dental lab technicians.
Step 5: Placement of the final prosthesis (crown, bridge, denture, etc).
Replacing All Your Teeth with Dental Implants
If you are in a situation where all your teeth need to be replaced, or you already have dentures, dental implants can help.

Permanently Secure
Sometimes known as the All-on-4™ procedure, full-mouth dental implants are an amazing solution for replacing all the teeth in either the upper or lower jaw or both. This solution creates a fixed bridge, secured by dental implants, which is not meant to be removed by the patient. It’s the closest thing to real teeth that dentistry has to offer. Typically, four (All-on-4) to six dental implants are placed and an immediate temporary bridge is attached the same day, so your smile looks and feels natural right away. Your permanent teeth will be placed after healing is completed.

Snap-In Overdentures
Full-mouth reconstruction with dental implants can also be achieved with removable dentures that attach to dental implants. This solution is ideal for those people with existing dentures that have becomes loose over time, especially lower dentures. Snap-in dentures are more secure and comfortable than dentures without dental implants.
