Comfort and Precision for Spectacular Results

Dental Care in a Relaxing Environment
We pride ourselves on delivering virtually painless dentistry, but for extensive procedures like dental implants, we are pleased to offer pre-operative oral sedation or IV sedation to allow you to receive dental care in total comfort. Oral sedation is a pill taken about an hour before treatment. You’ll be conscious and able to respond to questions during treatment, but without the anxiety.
For a deeper level of sedation, Dr. Patrick McCarty, a board-certified dentist anesthesiologist, is available to administer IV sedation for your procedure. The level of sedation can be adjusted to ensure maximum comfort. If you are afraid of the dentist, have trouble getting numb, or have a busy schedule with little time for repeated appointments, sedation dentistry is perfect for you.

3-D Dentistry & Virtual Surgery
When placing dental implants, understanding the ideal location for placement is essential to achieving the best results. 3-D imaging helps us do this not only by giving us a clear view of your jaw structure but also by identifying sinuses, nerves, and other vital structures that we want to avoid when placing your implants. It enables us to simulate implant surgery and digitally plan all implant cases prior to the procedure right in our office. This not only saves you time, it ensures proper placement and optimum results.

Bone Grafting: Preventing Bone Loss
One challenge we sometimes face for patients who would like dental implants is that they may not have enough strong bone in the jaw to support the implant. This presents a problem. After a tooth has been extracted, the bone loss starts almost immediately, which will make placing a future implant difficult or impossible. Should you need a tooth extracted in our practice, we can fill the extraction site with a bone graft to help preserve the strong bone. If you decide not to have an implant, grafting can still aid in significantly reducing bone loss.

Faster Healing – Naturally
Dr. Scardella is excited to offer his implant patients a new option called L-PRF™ (Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin) that promotes faster healing when implants are placed. This is a process that is 100% natural, using only a small blood sample directly from you. There are no additives of any kind, only a special process that immediately promotes natural healing at the implant site. It uses your own power to heal, just like when you scrape a knee. The special IntraSpin™ System is a centrifuge that separates important elements of your own blood – with NO chemical alteration and nothing added – and enables them to stimulate the healing process. When applied to the implant site, their healing ability significantly reduces your recovery time and helps you achieve your beautiful new smile faster!
